Greene County Clerk Shane Schoeller announces to Greene County registered voters that absentee voting starts today, Tuesday, June 25th, for those eligible voters who are unable to go to their regular polling place on August 6th for the General Primary Election. In Greene County, the August ballot includes a wide variety of candidates for county, state, and federal offices, as well as issues in one fire protection district.

These requests must be signed by the voters and received in the Clerk’s Office no later than 5:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday prior to the election, July 24th. Mailed ballots must be voted, notarized, returned by mail, and received in the Clerk’s Office before 7:00 p.m. on Election Day.
