SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – The application deadline for businesses seeking Missouri Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) grant funding is Feb. 20, 2025. The funds are granted through the Missouri Department of Economic Development and aim to close the gap in local high-speed internet connectivity, primarily in rural areas. Greene County, alongside the Regional Broad Initiative (RBI), is interviewing to determine which company or companies will receive a letter of support to strengthen their BEAD application.
In order to receive the letter of support from the RBI, companies need to submit their broadband qualifications by email to pio@greenecountymo.gov. The RBI represents communities in Greene and Christian counties for the development of high-speed broadband infrastructure. The RBI will host a round of virtual interviews on Monday, Feb. 10 from 1-4pm to determine which company or companies will receive a letter of support based on their ability to expand broadband access throughout Greene and Christian counties.
