NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN to the legal voters of the City of Battlefield, Missouri, in accordance with section RSMo. 115.127 (5), that the regular election will be held on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, for the following offices: • One Mayor for a four-year term • One Alderman for Ward One for a four-year term • One Alderman for Ward Two for a four-year term • One Alderman for Ward Three for a four-year term All persons who wish to be shown on the ballot as candidates for the above offices must file a declaration of candidacy with the City Clerk at City Hall, 5434 S. Tower Drive in Battlefield, Missouri during regular business hours 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday - Friday. NOTE: The first day for filing is December 5, 2023, to begin at 8:00 a.m. Filing will close at 5:00 p.m. on December 26, 2023. The office of the City Clerk will not be open on Saturdays and Sundays or days designated as a holiday by the City of Battlefield. Please keep in mind during this time of year, City Hall may be closed should inclement weather occur. Candidates will be listed on the ballot in the order in which they file. SPECIAL NOTE: Please make sure your voter registration has been updated. Ward Maps are available at the City Clerk’s office. all candidates must file an affidavit form 5120 Candidate’s Affidavit of Tax Payments and Bonding Requirements stating that they are not delinquent in the filing or payment of any state income taxes, personal property taxes, municipal taxes, or real property taxes on the place of residence stated on the declaration of candidacy, nor is the candidate a past or present officer of any fee office which owes any taxes to the state, other than those taxes subject to a formal dispute. Candidates must comply with all prevailing laws concerning eligibility and campaign financing.
